The poor and marginalized are going to be hugely impacted by the results and that we got to increase the act now within the most coordinated and collaborative way quickly strengthening the response initiatives from central and state governments. As infections rise and new virus strains create an increased threat, we are continuously monitoring the necessity on the bottom. SMPK is one of the leading NGOs in Uttar Pradesh, India providing relief during COVID-19. SMPK is distributing meals and groceries kits to the poor and jobless daily wage workers across the Meerut district.
We are providing other needy essentials to homeless people and poor families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Daily wage workers and migrant workers are jobless by the present COVID-19 pandemic and they need our timely support to stop hunger. We are also helping auto drivers, domestic maids, plumbers, electricians, workers in small shops, delivery boys, and house helpers, as their financial well-being are going to be directly impacted by their inability to earn their daily wage due to this pandemic by donating cooked food and dry ration kit to those deprived. SMPK team has compiled all our learning and knowledge resources for ensuring that each one of them is fully available to all or any partners who are helping the communities they serve to battle COVID-19. We encourage all partners to use these resources for accelerating their work on the bottom in order that we collectively accelerate the response. Let us all collaborate by extending our donations to assist our communities deal with the challenges and disruption posed by COVID-19.
SMPK will continue to support families who would otherwise need help through the emergency fund, including assistance for families experiencing difficulties due to the Covid-19 crisis and the related shutdowns/loss of income. Additionally, we continue to partner with government agencies and other organizations to provide food and living expenses. We are also connecting families with local resources so they can access critical support.
